Big 12 Basketball Tourament

The Big 12 Conference basketball tourament began in the 1996-97 with 2009 being the 13th season. With the teams advancing to the Final Four. These games always have the fans out of their seats screaming for every point. The conference includes the following 12 institutions Texas Tech University, Texas A&M University, University of Texas, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, University of Nebraska, University of Missouri, University of Kansas, Kansas State University, Iowa State Unversity, University of Colorado, and Baylor University.

Teams in the Big 12 basketball tourament have some built in traditional rivalries which make for even a higher fan emotion their school and or state teams. Ticket sales for these games are hot. Even the sport television networks have increased the coverage of the games. Which is benefits the schools for the Conference has given back $1 billion to the 12 member institutions.
